We’ve decided to postpone the announcement of the Index of Workplace Equality Index in Poland 2017 results. You will learn about the most LGBT-friendly companies in Poland in Autumn.
The decision was reached because of few reasons. Pro Diversity Foundation that runs the index, informed that some organisations had problems filling out the index form on time and asked to be allow to apply after the deadline. Because IWEP is being produced for the first time ever, organisers accepted the requests and waited a bit longer for some of the companies. That led to postponing the whole process.
We didn’t want to announce the companies in Summer since it’s very unlikely to get the right media coverage of the topic at this time. We didn’t want to interfere with Warsaw’s Equality Parade events neither. So we’ve made a tough decision to postpone the results announcement to Autumn – said Jej Perfekcyjność, Chair of Pro Diversity.
The exact date of the announcement is still being unknown. Pro Diversity informed that the announcement will be planned „late November”.
The Index of Workplace Equality in Poland (IWEP) is a powerful evidence-based benchmarking tool used by employers to assess their achievements and progress on lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) equality in the workplace. Each participant must demonstrate their expertise in 8 distinct areas of employment policy and practice, including networking groups, career development, training and community engagement. Criteria for the IWEP will be revised every two years.
Index of Workplace Inclusion in Poland is run by Pro Diversity Foundation. The organisation raises awareness and promotes benefits of LGBT diversity in the workplace, for both companies, and employees. Pro Diversity regularly organize meetings, workshops, researches and campaigns which aim at introducing and promoting the idea of LGBT inclusiveness in business.
